Curbed Seattle

I've said before, and you better believe I will say it again - thrilled to see Seattle represented on Curbed National.  Just saw this fun deck posting on Twitter, thought I'd share. :/ Love the covered second story deck. Great find Curbed Seattle!

ON THE MARKET

The Decks on Green Lake Get Curiouser and Curiouser for $820k

There's not much we like more in Seattle than a good covered deck (all the better to grill outdoors in the rain, my dear), and this Green Lake 3-bedroom does you one better: the deck is, well, also kind of bizarre. But we actually like it! The second floor features a weird deck that looks like somebody took a chunk out of the the top floor and just let the roof keep going about its business, with crescent-shaped windows and room to chill outdoors without everyone who walks by checking you out. As for the actual house, it's 3,102 sq. ft. (about a block from the actual lake) and includes an admittedly nice master suite and a two-car garage, which is especially clutch on Green Lake. Seriously though, it's all about the deck. The price for all this decked-out space: $819,950.

Seattle Ranks on Orbitz.Com

Recently compiled data from Orbitz.com show that Seattle ranks in top bookings for Summer travel (gasp! - not at all surprised).

Our sun drenched Seattle summers (fingers crossed we don't have a repeat of last Summer's rain) garnering attention as a top travel destination.

See in full on TravelCentral.com.
"The Orbitz Insider Index Top 10 summer destinations were ranked based on all air bookings made on Orbitz.com for travel between June 1 and Aug. 31. Seattle Times Updated Story

I typically try to keep this pretty light on this side of the web.
That said, it is hard to ignore EVERY news agency out there. So, I thought I would honor this historical event for our nation with a posting.

In no way is this making light of such as seriously relevant issue, but it is a nice departure from the headlines all of us have been reading.

See below.

Make time for me!

"Busy" is a way of life for many people (especially you mom's out there!).

Moving from one meeting to another - slashing out one calendar slot to the next - getting through the day with some sanity and sense of ease, now that's a goal!

It's easy to schedule our lives around other people. The trick is remembering to pencil yourself in.

This Wall Street Journal article reminded me to make some "me time." Thought I would share!

Go With Sapphire Blue!

Always fabulous Glassybaby (go Seattle business!), just mentioned #Seattle on their Twitter :

 glassybaby
"We're busy packing for the @ roadshow this Saturday...any color requests? "

In the spirit of today's wedding countdown, I'm totally into the idea of a "Diana Sapphire Blue."

Who's with me?! In fact, while they're at it, what about a deep emerald green for our Emerald City?

Just around the corner.

Hint Hint. Nudge Nudge.

Leave it to Martha!

Personal aside, happy to see the "Spa Day" insert. :)

So Cool!

This just in (thank you Twitter)! Paste Magazine lists Brandi Carlile accompanied by the Seattle Symphony as # 1 on their list of "12 May Albums Worth Checking Out."

Lovin' the Seattle Love!

Cheers!

Listing Feature On Curbed Seattle

This sure caught me off guard! (In an excellent way).
Sipping some afternoon 'presso, and surfing around some favorite rainy day sites - I came across this! One of my listings - on....drum roll, please.... Curbed Seattle!

Great views on my computer screen - Great views of the Sound. Can it get any better??

"5 Properties With Mind-Bogglingly Killer Views in Seattle"

Next up: Alaskan Way.
Seattle residents have a pretty legit attachment to the crumbling bit of infrastructure known as the Alaskan Way Viaduct, and out-of-towners think we're nuts. They haven't seen the view, though! Seriously, where else can you see the Olympics at sunset on one side while you soak in the city on the other (often while traveling 20 miles above the ridiculous 45 mph speed limit)? Nowhere, unless you have $1.25 million and an itch to own the penthouse at 1950 Alaskan Way. It's a 2-bedroom condo with views of the ferry docks and the mountains on one side and some pretty towering buildings on the other, and it's got two parking spaces in the garage and an office to boot. Where do we sign?

For more info. on this see here -> Listing: 1950 Alaskan Way #524

Cheers!
